wet leaves underfoot
a
soft, muted carpet
colors
fading, autumn,
browns
and pale yellows
but
revived by water
evergreens
and mosses
in
the awakening
the
revealing to me
sharing
its secrets
beauty
in the common
deep
into autumn
the
clocks to fall back
damp
woods, clouds
color
saturated
intense,
urgent
giving
to my lens
to
my presence
wanting
me to see
light
bursting forth
drawn
out by the water
a
different color spectrum
revealing
the secrets
sharing
something special
beauty
in the common
