We
carry this burden
the
pain so familiar
things
we won’t let go of
that
we won’t give to God -
Nothing
He has given
(She,
if you prefer),
our
Creator doesn’t work that way;
God
is good, all the time,
wanting
the best for us
for
us to come to Him
to
sit in His loving arms
to
rest at His feet.
We
carry this burden
the
weight of the world
not
giving anything over
into
the hands of our Lord.
