holding onto safe
especially now,
in this time of dis-ease
the widening pandemic
financial uncertainty
so much at stake
so many shouting voices
we all want to be safe,
sheltered in this storm,
fonding a place of stability, of comfort,
even if holding on to a thin edge,
by our fingertips
holding onto safe
for dear life
