A
nation still divided
an
election undecided
harsh
words spoken in anger
a
match thrown too quickly
pouring
gasoline on the fire
words
of rage, of derision,
cast
into the toxic soup.
A
combustible chaos
yet
so much in common
under
the thin surface
love
needed in these times
now
more than ever
to
heal our brokenness,
our
hurting nation-state.
