Smooth Stones of the Wadi – 2 – v4

Catching the light of morning

five smooth stones of the wadi

sitting on my windowsill

a present reminder of God’s provision

God’s protection in the storms,

when I face my giants.

 

Kept as a talisman, a memory,

five smooth stones of the wadi

placed before me, shining,

reminding me to trust in God,

to claim the faith of David

for my life, my own.
