Fresh from the oven
A slice of cheese
Vermont cheddar
Not a la mode
Though that too sometimes
Friendly's french vanilla
When that is the choice
But Vermont cheddar
With McIntosh apple pie
Pungent and sweet.
A taste, a choice,
From 50 years ago.
