gathering moments - v1

shells, sand dollars,
bits of sand at the bottom,
proxies for memories,
images, sensations,
the movement of the tides,
the feeling of vacation.

shells, sea glass,
bits of driftwood, a feather,
touching the wet sand, the grit,
a tangible talisman,
gathering moments,
the days of our lives.
