with blood ever watered

high on the mountain,
shrouded in clouds,
“with blood ever watered”,
their tears falling down…
 
“illumined in sorrow”,
the mountains covered,
“with blood ever watered”,
the tears, the anguish,
of the people there…
 
struggle on, do not falter
for the battle, the tide is turning
on these mountains, glory
will rise again…
 
his kinsmen fallen,
but in the far-off mountain,
for the folly of conquest,
far from home, rest,
in his dear Ukraina…
