Fearing less and striving more
grabbing hold of my future
a new year’s resolution, a promise,
I make to myself…
 
Knowing my history, my struggles,
but not letting them chain me,
a promise in the turning,
to rise on this new page…
 
Fearing less and striving more,
a challenge to my spirit,
but one I cannot fail,
as I lean into my future…
