Because of the cross

I can claim the words of the psalmist,
the ancient words of promise
of a life walking with God
humbly, forgiven…
 
Because of the cross,
Christ’s sacrifice for me,
I stand as righteous as Jesus
before God’s Judgement Seat…
 
My feet do not slip, stumble,
I stand on Christ, my foundation,
an eternity in heaven my reward,
because He gave me grace…
