Hope in prayer

The words of scripture
not a conditional plea
but an assurance, affirmation,
our hope in prayer…
 
The psalmist, each of us,
standing on our faith,
praying to God,
but leaving it to Him…
 
Trusting in God’s goodness,
His answers to our prayers,
leaving them at the altar,
at the feet of God…
 
We each can live in peace,
we just pray and believe,
God will surely answer
every one of our prayers…
