The price of atonement

Christ bore it all, every stone,
every sin that has been committed
a weight too much to bear
the awful price of atonement
Christ bore out stain
that we can rise to heaven…
 
Without the cross, the nails,
God’s wrath would be upon us
only through His pain
can we live again, saved
from the stain of our sin
by His blood shed on the cross…
