In honesty is freedom – v2

through transparency we are gifted,
in honesty is true freedom,
being open, vulnerable, loving,
toward God and our fellow man…
 
unburden your life, your spirit,
forswear lies, all deception,
lean forward into the light, the truth,
be showered with God’s rich blessing…
 
guard your heart with a prayer
of God’s protection, in God’s mercy,
be brutally honest, open
to all God has in store…
 
walk forward boldly, in the light,
strive into God’s truth, only,
sharing your life fully,
not stumbling on any word…

every lie is a stone – v2

every lie is a stone, a cross,
a weight we choose to carry,
each one separates us from God,
from other people, our neighbors,
a trap that leads to sin, a wedge,
estranging us from one another…
 
Truth alone will save us, reborn,
leading us to heaven, to God,
redeeming us in our spirit,
a part of the fabric, the body,
calm within us, rising,
we can live in peace…
 
every lie is a stone, a cross,
a burden on every heart,
born for the fire, for the dust,
leading to destruction, separation,
estrangement in the spirit,
the path of our loving God…
 
Truth alone will save us, reborn,
lifting our every struggle from us,
removing every stumbling block,
every stone that we carry,
adding enduring worthy,
restoring us to God…

every lie is a stone,
a weight we choose to carry,
