Minority rule

raw land over people

a compromise anachronistic

holding onto usurped power

from when we began.

The filibuster undemocratic

holding onto usurped power

the balance tipping

to the west, the south,

away from both coasts.

Minority rule

states’ rights preeminent

Sons of the Confederacy

holding onto usurped power

a day of reckoning to come.
