For those who believe
who have eyes that will see
Christ is our king

the fulfillment of God’s promise
our hope alone in him
that we would have a tomorrow
Not the cross, the grave
but the Easter morning
redeemed in the light
as we behold His glory
God descending to the depths
walking as a man
dying, yet rising victorious

The power of this statement
God dwelt among us
the Word becoming flesh
giving up his crown
Descending from the heavens
to walk the lowly earth
born in a stable
laid in a manger bed
Humble, not with fanfare
save for the holy star
leading the magi to him
those who had traveled far
All of his life a witness
fulfillment of all prophecy
leading to the cross, the grave
to life, eternity

Christ, though from the beginning
before anything was
alive, in the world
in the manger bed
And the Word became flesh
dwelling as a man
walking the roads of the world humble
going as the Father planned
Going as a servant
out into the world

His own received him not
So many of the powerful
the leaders of the people
unable to believe this was the Christ
the babe, the Son, the carpenter
His own received him not
the world could not believe
this was the foretold Messiah
God, alive, here
So many proofs ignored
the signs all aligned

The light in the world
through the world

Make Christ King
To be faithful
walking the way of the saints
Making Christ King
the center of our life
Turning to him ever
for every one of our decisions
guided by his calling
deep inside of us
Defining who is in charge
the master of our lives
submitting as he did in the garden
giving to the father’s will
In him is all healing
because he climbed the rugged cross
bringing us back to the father

his grace washing us clean
all of our needs in him
until we rise in glory
to join our savior
in the courts of heaven

Going to the corner

Finding Peace
Even in the storms
the day to day trials
even in the community
finding peace in you
Seeking the peace He gives
calling on God’s name
knowing He will answer
knowing why He came
to save us from this earthly life
the redemption of our king
bringing us back to him
those who call on his name

Washing Over Us
Only the peace of Christ
nothing we can do
nothing of this earth the same
as his love, come true
Washing over us
even when we struggle
