Those tongues of fire, on Pentecost born
flames growing, spreading
spreading among the people
The power of Jesus’ name
Spirit-filled believers
refusing to be silenced
Proclaiming the power, the authority
of His holy name
The one who had been foretold
The Messiah of the people,
who suffered and died,
who rose and ascended
Dwelling within us, the spirit filling
emboldening us to witness
to proclaim the good news
