His ears needing assistance
his eyes struggle some too
his legs ache so
But the firmness of his handshake
something deep within him
his looking me in the eye
a way of speaking for him
a deep loving word
shared in his focus
his meeting me,
speaking volumes
in the firmness of his handshake
