Answering the Challenge of Christ

The words of the prophets
the Law fulfilled in Christ
all of God’s promise
come alive for us
going the way of the cross

Answering the challenge of Christ
being his hands and feet
going out into the world
offering hope to the captives
setting the prisoners free

Being salt of the earth
never putting on air
remaining humble
loving to our neighbors
being the light to the world

Bearing the message of Jesus
light in the darkness
the grace of our God
sowing seeds of hope
to the ends of the earth
