Christ took the cup, the cross
we take the cup, the cross
sharing our story, the choice to submit
to be the sacrifice
that others might live
Knowing how bitter
how bitter it would taste
drinking the memories
the story of our lives
our struggles, our pain
the journey of our days
the way God is with us
all along the way
