Baiting our Brother

Oh Isaac, Cornelius
what have you done
hurting Ishmael
children of the Prophet

What have we done
abusing our freedoms
claiming the right
to impune their honor

Baiting our brother
before we cry foul
Their blood on our hands
as much as the gunman,
the mob in the street.
