in the shadow of their journey

their journey casting shadows

down through time

Mary and Joseph

going to Bethlehem

in the shadow of their journey

living out their faith

how would each of us react

if God spoke to us

their journey casting shadows

seeping into each heart

believers challenged as they were

to follow where God led

in the shadow of their journey

submitting to God’s will

traveling alone to David’s home

fulfilling God’s call to them
