the words seem stranger
painfully redundant
a new heaven
Jerusalem descending
God will be their God
painful in the telling
for in truth
that is not how
it is now
God descending
earth and heaven
joined to heal
Eden’s breach
one together
living ever
all will sing
to God’s glory
all healed, mended
happy will be the people
God will dwell here with us
