This is Not why Christ died

A deal on a Blu-Ray TV,

Shopping on Thanksgiving

or at midnight on Black Friday.

Pushing and shoving,

cutting off our neighbors;

going into debt

to keep up with the Joneses

This is not why Christ died

why He descended from heaven.

Christ came to save us

to give us new life,

teaching and healing,

showing God’s love;

choosing the cross,

the gate to paradise
