He ventured into the unknown
a cursed place yet holy, somehow,
something was there that gave him pause
grieving, trepidation, but he ventured in.
Unable to heed the warning, stepping,
not stopping at the threshold
crossing in, crossing over,
stepping right inside.
Even though he heard the spirits
cries of invisible citizens
sorrowful denizens of this place,
he entered in.
