When Christ breathed His last
the veil of the Temple was opened
torn from top to bottom,
the graves were opened,
the sacrifice of sin was paid
our debt, “It was finished”.
When Christ breathed His last
the separation since Adam,
the rebellion in the Garden
the divide between man and God
the burden that Christ carried
to Golgotha, the cross, to the grave.
