#Fear is the #snake

Fear is the snake, the beast, our enemy,
sapping our joy, love, our peace,
every opportunity, every chink in our armor,
Death, Satan, the same, certain, stalking,
following us, silent, watching, present,
when we let down our guard, pouncing,
pulling us under the waters,
despair, fear, loss, conforming,
walking in the pit, in the valley,
so far from our path…
