There is no place for pride

Our gifts, our talents,
opportunities to achieve,
are all from the hand of God,
God's presence in our lives.
 
There is no place for pride,
the lie of the self-made man;
all of us are of clay, of dust,
mortal creatures on the Earth.
 
Only through God are we holy,
we achieve success in our lives;
Thank God in the struggle, in triumph,
God's presence in our lives.
