#Sunflowers Grow #Ukraine

In the midst of their anguish,
under the rubble, the inferno,
in the streets, in the buildings,
in the fertile ground of hope…
 
Sunflowers grow, rising,
defying the terror, the tyrant,
not giving in, surrendering, no,
standing erect, defiant, resolute…
 
They will rise, abundantly,
from the fertile soil, this country,
alive with the colors of their flag,
the hope that burns within…
