Stop Doubting and Believe – v2

A harsh rebuke, maybe,
but it was needed in that moment,
what Christ said to Thomas,
the last of them to believe.
 
“Stop doubting and believe”,
“Touch My flesh if you need to,”
“I have risen from the dead,”
“I am the One standing before you.”
 
Then Christ spoke words to us,
words of love, of faith, for humanity,
“How much more Blessed are those
who have not seen and yet believe.”
 
This is our call, our message from Jesus,
to believe with our hearts, in our spirits,
with eyes of faith, that He has risen,
that He is our Lord, the Christ…

That he had to touch Christ’s hands and put his hands
in Christ’s side, even though Christ had not been in the room…
