Aware of their sins, their condemnation
not fulfilling the Law of Moses
Aware of his birth, his history,
denying the Messiah before them...
Dropping stones, picking up stones,
standing defiant, in judgment,
Arguing His identity with God
forgetting the lessons of Job...
In the presence of light,
They chose darkness, the flesh,
the certainty they puffed up before them,
denying the Word He spoke...
Foolishly debating God,
Leading others to damnation,
Called out directly in the Temple courts,
“Before Abraham was, I Am.”
