Stepping up, innovating...
Marshaling a whole people...
To one common cause,
The defense of their land...
 
In the crucible of war
Being fully honest
Speaking the truth...
Open about the struggle
The immense pain inside...
 
In the crucible of war
Joining united, together,
As a people, as a nation...
Against one common enemy,
Their imperial lust...
 
In the crucible of war
Staying determined, focused,
Not losing their humanity...
Even as the enemy strikes
In wanton acts of terror...
