The Witness – v3

The Witness must speak,
Truth to Posterity,
for the sake of History,
for the Victims, their memory,
because they have been silenced,
their eyes have been shut...

The Witness may struggle,
They may not have words for the Horror,
but that doesn’t absolve them,
of their responsibility, their Duty,
History too will judge, will measure,
What the Witness said and did…

Rule 145 – v2

Is this excessive,
Out of proportion,
The reprisals, the terror,
Hegemony, genocide,
Fighting over ancient lands…

What are the measures,
More limited, circumspect
That can stop the violence,
Their call to jihad, to genocide,
Hegemony, from the river to the sea…

Two competing cabals

Two competing cabals,
Usurping power,
claiming to speak,
for two peoples...

Mouthing words
of genocide, of hatred,
so many dead innocents,
Bleeding in the streets...

How can they co-exist? – v2

How can they co-exist,
with the rhetoric toxic,
with the language of genocide
boiling on both sides?

Amalek and his progeny,
Children, becoming martyrs,
A population excited
by the terror unleashed.

Awful choices only,
genocide or capitulation,
War endless, unending,
Too much blood in the streets…

From the river to the sea – v2 #Israel #Palestine

A customer in my store,
his arm enflamed, swollen,
A new tattoo present,
speaking across the miles
of a single answer…

Or a single-state solution
the map inverted, reverted,
No more State of Israel,
Palestine, from the river to the sea.

A one-state solution,
a present outline only
Words scribed with the image,
no West Bank, no Gaza Strip,
just Israel, All Israel…

No room for compromise,
for a two-state solution,
Two sides bent on genocide,
wanting the other dead.
