On the Day of Pentecost
there were flames
there was Fire, alive,
quickening Holy Spirit
falling on the disciples
giving them words, power,
to set the world ablaze.
On the Day of Pentecost
God’s Spirit fell upon
them
they were Emboldened
there was Fire,
life-changing words,
they were given voice, a calling
to go to the ends of the earth.
