Sometimes my words may
be edited,
filtered from a prism, through a lens,
not perfect reality, transparent,
unblemished, unvarnished truth.
Like macrophotographs
taken,
cropped, edges blurred,
a horizon line altered,
for precision, for effect.
All to tell the story, the
words,
focus, images essential, power,
how to convey the substance,
when details are obscured…
