Sometimes my words are edited,
Filtered from a prism, a lens,
Not perfect reality, transparent,
Unblemished, unvarnished truth.
 
Like macrophotographs taken,
Cropped, edges blurred,
A horizon line altered,
For precision, for effect.
 
All to tell the story, the words,
The images essential, focus,
How to convey the substance, truth
Even when the details are obscured…
