Their feet are dust covered,
with the sweat, the dirt of the road,
the way of the sojourner, the traveler,
of the disciples of Jesus,
walking with Him around Galilee,
healing, sharing with so many,
sojourning toward Jerusalem.
They travel, they learn beside Him,
sharing their meals with Him
journeying as they must
as His brethren, His servants,
friends of Christ.
They walk the way of suffering,
to be true to their calling;
their feet are dust covered,
travelers with the good news,
a great story to tell.
So true our companions,
fellow disciples, servants, missionaries
brethren with Christ, in the journey
these sojourners, these travelers,
their feet are dust covered,
with the sweat, the dirt of the road,
in the way of the disciples of Jesus,
They travel, they learn,
through His example, His teachings.
journeying as they must,
Christ’s brethren, His servants,
friends of the risen Christ.
They walk the way of suffering,
to be true to their calling;
their feet are dust covered,
travelers with the good news,
a great story to tell.
