a better business model,
aspiring for balance,
for meaning, for purpose,
adopting a Servant heart.
 
Life and Work balance,
Rewards within the striving,
Taking ownership, responsibility,
In every day, in every task,
In every step, each breath….

In the classroom, the courtroom,
at the register, at the deli,
in line, in traffic, to your neighbor,
in the living room, on the street,
We are always on, listen up…
 
Life is a performance, a test,
We are all actors on the stage, but
this is not just theatre, it is more important,
Everyone is paying attention, watching,
what we say, what we do in life.
 
So, we all should model best behavior,
We should act more kindly, gently,
seeking to understand and not judge,
to act humbly, be slow to anger,
We should follow the golden rule…

something not right

something off-putting

something deviant

in their behavior

alarm bells sounding

within my mind;

secrets unspoken

too boisterous laughter

wanting me to leave

our running outside

outside of earshot

of someone watching (aware)

a feeling repeating;

a concern unspoken

beyond my grasp
