Up over the gardens – v2

Our vision rising, carried aloft,
Up over the gardens, above
the promenade, the portico,
rising above the stairs, the statues,
up over the castle’s rooftops,
to the sky, the heavens, the heights…
 
Arched doorways, arched windows,
experiencing the grandeur, royalty,
from a new perspective, our vision
sensing more deeply history, majesty,
gravitas, raw power of another age
captured in this place...

We are here but a minute,
for our life is but a breath,
We were born only yesterday,
an empty vessel to be filled…

We must walk in our purpose,
We must follow the path of God.

Christ calls us to come,
to walk on water with Him,
to trust, to believe, to go,
as He Himself has called us.
 
Christ calls us to purpose,
to our calling within Him,
the Spirit moves within us,
guiding our trembling feet.
 
Christ makes a way for us,
to redeem us, to save us,
Christ calls us to our path,
to walk on water with Him.

Christ calls us to come,

to walk on water with Him,

to trust, to believe, to go,

as He Himself has called us.

 

Christ calls us to purpose,

to a calling within Him,

the Spirit moves within us,

moving our trembling feet.

God makes a way for us,
God pours out abundance,
to return us to God, to have life,
through our risen Lord and Savior.
 
Christ calls us to come,
to walk on water with Him,
to trust, to believe, to go,

I will ever seek You, Lord,
I will strive to be with You,
to make my Way straight,
to follow Your calling to me,
Your call to me, “Come.”
 
Until Your Way become my way,
I will strive to be faithful, to walk with You,
I will seek to let Your words, Your Spirit,
lead me and guide me into Your Light,
so that I might conform my steps to You.
 
I seek You, Lord, always,
I strive to be with You,
to make my Way straight,
to follow Your calling to me,
Your call to me, “Come.”

Christ calls to us
offering an invitation,
Christ is the Way,
to God, to Salvation.
 
Christ calls to us,
to get out of the boat,
to trust His calling,
the Way to eternal life.
 
Christ calls to us
to boldly come to Him
to walk with our Savior,

Christ is the Way

Christ is the Way,
the Path to Salvation,
the Way to the Father,
our living God in heaven.
 
There is only One Way to Heaven,
to abiding with the Father,
through the Gate of Jesus Christ,
our Risen Lord and Savior.
 
Christ is the Way,
the Path to Salvation,
the Way to the Father,
our living God in heaven.
 
Though the Way may be narrow,
the Path is straight before us,
there is only one Way to our God,
through the gate of Jesus Christ.

to abiding with the Father,
through the Gate of Jesus Christ,

The Path is straight, clear,
though the Way may be narrow,
only one Way to our God,

Love Freely Given, a Gift

Grace, our salvation,
a gift from the Creator,
Love freely given, a gift,
paid for by our Savior.
 
Our wages, the consequence,
of our sin is damnation, death;
but Christ became our sacrifice,
redeeming us, giving us life.
 
Love freely given, offered,
Grace, a gift on the cross,
our risen Lord and Savior
the Lamb, saves each one of us.

I am Judas, I am Peter

I am Judas, I am Peter,
I am the others who ran,
who hid, who cowered in fear,
afraid to stand with Christ that night.
 
I have sinned against You, Lord,
the wages of my sin should be death,
but You climbed the cross for me,
You give me eternal life.

I have earned my wages,
of sin, leading to death,
I have walked away from God,
I have turned from His path.
 
I am Judas, I am Peter,
I am the ones who ran,
who hid, who feared,
to stand with Him that night.
 
I sinned against You, Lord,

You give me eternal life.

Eternal life through Jesus,
not eternity in Hell,
death, damnation,
the wages of my sin.
 
Eternal life through Jesus,
through His gift on the cross,
walking with my Savior,
life forevermore.

Grace, salvation,
a gift from the Creator,

I have earned my wages

I have earned my wages,
of sin, leading to death,

But my death is not the end,
through the gift of Christ Jesus,
God has gifted me love, life,
through my risen Lord and Savior.

A Gift of Life

Earning the wages of sin,
Death lays before me,
All my mistakes, my turning,
Away from the path of God.
 
A gift of life, eternal,
In our Lord and Savior,
Taking of sin upon Himself,
Climbing the cross for us.
 
The wages of sin is death,
Earned in every failing,
The gift of God is eternal life,
Paid by our Savior.
