A Hunk-a Hunk-a at-ti‘tude

Elvis was in the house,
you could see it so clear
in her stance, her pout
She’s gotta hunka hunka at-ti‘tude
Yeah ba-by,
as she just said,
looking at the picture as I attached it below

All jazzed up
and no where to go
on the lawn, ready for the fourth
for the games, the pie
the music
but not yet the fireworks
they were best seen
and not heard
daddy’s hands within her own
small shaking hands
pressed hard against her ears
hugging her close
before the booms
