Despite His Fears

Despite his fears
knowing what he knew
faithful to God
to follow his will

In the garden
that moment precisely
Christ drinking, a different cup
of sin, of sacrifice

Righteous, in his prayer
turning from the world
in choosing to drink
doing the master’s will
