I can almost hear the words
of Jesus
if he was more direct, in
your face -
“Are you really that stupid,
do I have to spell it out
for you
what more do I have to do
before you will get it;
how did you think I healed
them
the sick and the lame
I came from heaven that you
might know
the Father before you in the
Son.”
“The food was the sign
the loaves and the fishes
it wasn’t a parlor trick
it wasn’t some cheap magic;
God gave me the power
I am the bread of heaven
there is life in me, if you
will believe
what more do I have to do
take you to the woodshed
beat the truth into you
that you would believe?”
