Christ became mortal
alive in a body like us;
God came down from heaven
to give us eternal life.
Christ took on the mantle
the weight of the sin within
us;
God declared an end to sin’s
control
of Satan’s power over us.
Christ became mortal
setting aside His power;
God made a way for us
to be redeemed back to Him.
Christ took on the mantle
bearing the sin upon us;
Christ climbed the cross to
free us
of Satan’s power, our stain.
