draped over her arm, her shoulder

Her body turned to the flag pole
getting ready to raise our colors
old glory in her hands
not touching the ground
showing our flag respect.

draped over her arm, her shoulder
while she attached the hooks
ready to raise our nation’s flag
to start another day.
