The divine was revealed
made clean, prepared,
anointed
not with a golden crown;
but with water
not in the Temple
but there in the Jordan,
in the wilderness
in the water with John.
Submitting to an act of
trust,
a falling into the water
a washing away of our sin
in supplication and
fulfillment
to begin His own journey
His three years of ministry,
His mission, His fate
our risen Lord and Savior.
