Christmas is sacrifice

the mercy of God

sending His Son

to come down to earth,

full of humanity, humble, mortal flesh,

taking on our sins, all of the rest.

Christmas is a gift

unmerited favor, grace,

healing the breach,

as promised at the beginning

a Son, full of God, full of humanity,

taking on our sins, all of the rest.
