Forever is the mountain

Forever is the mountain

Through the thick haze of late Summer

the clear starkness of mid-Winter

in greens and bright colors

of Spring, of Autumn

the tapestry, the tableau, the palette

is ever changing, fluid,

as the seasons unfold.

The scene may be different

changing colors, feelings,

each day, each season

but the Mount remains

forever is the mountain

forever, unchanging, eternal

even when lost from our view.
