In the arms of the mountain - v2
years melted away
a week on your mountain
just up from the Blue Ox
spending time together
as one, our family.
held one more time
together, a family,
gathering on Sugarloaf
in the arms of the mountain
slopes we knew so well.
skiing together
old ways so familiar
smelling the wax, the cold,
heading for the slopes,
together, one more time.
gathering together
our families now gathered
around the fires, in the wind,
up on the mountain
that you loved so well.
a gift we still treasure
a perfect week, moments
this blessing, the mountain
the chance, an opportunity
to spend that time together.
so precious in our memory
the years bleeding away
with our family you loved
sharing that space, that time,
on the mountain you loved.
