The Loving Father
The story reversed
the names misguided
what we have always known
a mistake, a misspelling.
The story is the same
but the name corrected
Not the Prodigal Son
but the Loving Father.
The story is about God
and all humanity
all of us broken
all welcomed home.
But unlike the story
the older brother joyful
sacrificing His life
that we may come home.
A Loving Father
running out to greet us
an older brother sharing love
all that is within Him.
