Jarring, catching my attention,
their random swipes, the gashes;
The motion of our highlighters,
the pens we were given,
looking for counterfeits.
Scars cut across their faces,
deep wounds, crazy mascara;
Grant with eyes like Pris,
the replicant from Blade Runner.
Lines drawn across their faces
like writing in your Bible;
Slashing the presidents, Franklin,
the bills an unwilling canvas,
looking for counterfeits.
