I must walk in my
own shoes
on the path God
has written for me;
I must not long
for another's path,
the way written
just for my neighbor.
I must strive on my
own way,
my unique
calling, my own purpose;
I must heed God's
still small voice,
as I go into God’s
world.
I must take up my
own mantle, my cross,
using my own
gifts and my talents;
I must not follow
another's path;
I must answer
God's call to me.
